A great first day at #uksf24. Proud as bunch to stand up with these ladies and encourage conversations about sex and relationships across the stroke pathway.

While Dr Aimee Walker Clark reminded us that “We had to get over ourselves” when talking about sex. “People will talk if you ask them about sex”. As health professionals and researchers, we owe it to people affected by stroke to extend them that courtesy. ❤️

Let’s think about ways that we can encourage low level intimacy in acute stroke services. And love the question “would you like to participate in your partners care, or prioritise being a partner” #UKSF24
