Happy you’re keeping safe and doing what feels right, but just wanted to clarify that. There just isn’t enough clarity on when we are no longer infectious.

He’s only been v mildly unwell; iso in his room has been the worst aspect of all this for him! Though he’s infected friends my husband and I are negative so far, so the iso continues.

Have you tested positive on a rapid antigen test? You are now required by law to report your positive result to the Department of Health. Report by visiting coronavirus.vic.gov.au/report or calling 1800 675 398. For translations, call the hotline number and press 0.

@eddysikhay @VicGovDH My understanding is that if you test positive and have symptoms, then 7 days after (assuming symptoms are gone) you can end isolation. So no need to rest again.

@naamanzhou I agree with you and also agree with the recent announcement in NSW and have wanted it to happen in VIC for ages considering COVID zero is out, but with the comparison to NY, is it feasible to say COVID testing is different there - less accessible - than in NSW? Genuine question.

All risk are different, but societies always manage to balance risk - we must be thinking about how to live with an endemic virus. Just like accidents, it will always be a threat we must manage.
