@ryanflorence i was talking to some coworkers about remix 3, and we thought it might be nice to support a class-based model, and then we realized this was starting to look familiar ;)

@djsmith42 "Let's put a pin in that, and I'll take an action item to circle back once I've reached alignment with the relevant stakeholders in the working group" -> "I don't know what I'm doing"

Don't try to sound fancy at work. It just makes you harder to understand. Got examples of this? I'll start: "additional" --> "more" "showcase" --> "show" "what we're working on from a build perspective" --> "what we're building"

React Router RSC Preview is now available This brings support for all of React's API in a way that is incrementally adoptable by the millions of React Router apps in production today, but also feels great for a greenfield React Router app Blog post below 👇

@djsmith42 This is perhaps a mix of the two, but maybe something in its own right: perverse incentives often lead to complexity, e.g. a common problem at Big Cos is POA (Promotion Oriented Architecture)

In software, complexity only comes from two sources: 1. Requirements 2. Ignorance 🧵

@djsmith42 How pervasive even is "domain" among nontechnical folks? I'd probably call it "Website name" w/ a google.com placeholder, and automatically remove a www. prefix if they enter one😆😭

@naugtur @matteocollina @github @jenseng built us a runner setup. It’s not exactly something you do in a day or two I don’t think. Unless you have a lot of people being slowed down by it, might make sense to go the “complain” route.

My team has been telling me that CI gets often stuck with "waiting for a runner to pick up this job" for a long time in our org @github actions. Is there a solution for this? (This is a private repository already, so we are paying customers)

Node excitement 😉 💥 An impact assessment on require(ESM) with the top 5000 npm pkgs by @JoyeeCheung ">95% high-impact esm-only npm packages can be loaded with require(esm) after the unflagging. Most packages that still can't be required can be fixed with small changes." 🎉 🧵

In about 10 minutes or so, I'll likely realize that half the code is untested and a bunch of existing tests were skipped

Just pushed a large refactor draft PR (+494 -698) and all checks passed on the first try 🤯 ... VSCode+TypeScript+Copilot feels like programming on easy mode sometimes
