This is actually a key metric for the long-term sustainability of the network. Since transaction fees on #Algorand are extremely low and fixed (0.001 $ALGO per txn), it's crucial for the network to maintain a significant level of on-chain activity. Why? Because, in the long run, transaction fees will be the exclusive source of rewards for validators on the network. As a result, it's important for this process to remain profitable for those securing the network and to ensure that enough revenue is generated to fairly remunerate them! 🧑💻🌐 And here's the great news: revenues generated by $ALGO literally skyrocketed in 2024 compared to 2023, thanks to growing on-chain activity, including increased real-world adoption! We're talking about a 10x increase over just one year! 🤯 In 2025, we can definitely expect #Algorand's revenue to continue growing significantly, as many great things are set to launch on the mainnet.
