@ASCD Creating tasks that requires students to think and demonstrate their thinking is allowing for exploration of deep learning and exciting activities in which students can’t cheat or google an answer!

@cjakicic How do help teachers & leaders see best practices like action research, PLCs & rigorous instruction can all absolutely happen in distance learning environment! I feel too many people think practices have to change when they just need to be tweakedfor current environment.

@RosaIsiah What’s keeping me up at night is the idea of going back to schools with all these restrictions in place and the possibility of undoing decades of hard work to get kids out of rows and talking to each other!

@RosaIsiah I think it is similarly different. In both cases leaders must balance the push and pull needed to support teachers yet ensure students needs are met using evidence and standards! It still requires connection, empathy, flexibility, and active listening!!

@RosaIsiah Provide adequate professional learning opportunities to help them understand how to provide rigorous learning experiences for students in a distance learning environment balancing building skills and content knowledge grounded in standards and rigor!
