Rough year for Emporia, Kansas. - Emporia State University (ESU) fired tons of tenured professors & looks like it's becoming a technical school instead of a university. - The #ksleg cracked the city into 3 different state house districts to advance the Republican gerrymander.

Students with special needs have the right to be schooled in inclusive classrooms with their peers in the least restrictive environment. And neuro- and physically-typical students need to school within a diverse student population to prepare them for life.

@piper4missouri There is no school choice except virtual education in rural areas, which is unhelpful because the majority of rural residents also lack high speed internet access. So there’s really no school choice in rural areas. People love to ignore this fact.

@MissMollyann1 @piper4missouri Our local religious schools outsource special pops to the LEA. They can’t afford to staff required positions in-house. It may seem inclusive, but typically you must be a parishioner and already have children in the program, IF a seat becomes available. It’s not open to everyone.

I don’t think a lot of people who went to college when it cost far less understand how many people are impacted by student debt. So I’m going to ask you to reply to show just a small amount of the scale of impacted people How much student debt do you have and how old are you?

@Apocalypse11141 @JoJoFromJerz Everyone going into a classroom should have a mental fitness evaluation before being allowed to teach. Your professors during those 6 years were evaluating your fitness. Allowing people with no pedagogy background to teach bypasses those checks.
