I still say the £80-90m fee from Bayern Munich, for Harry Kane, was an absolute steal.

Look, we have no real roster and it’s hard. I get it
But we are playing 3 number 9’s. We don’t have anything resembling a #10 and again we will go with 2CMs (who aren’t ready for this level) while the opponent will quite obviously overtake the midfield from the first whistle

The way this team manages to collapse at the slightest pressure in important spots is why there isn’t an AU fan alive who should complain if they don’t have their name called Sunday.
They still might make it because this bubble sucks, but nothing about this team is “deserving.”

@THEChrisKessell Would be interesting to see a chart of number of clubs entering the league (and number entering ECNL/RL as well) next to this. We are watering down “elite” leagues for a few reasons that don’t really align with being elite and I wonder what the impact is

It’s not an easy task, but the ONE thing that we all knew for a fact that Spurs needed in a new face was relentless positivity.
Instead we got another guy being a “realist”. That conversation comes when we’re safe. Not when we are in the fight for survival

@power_ray Parents will come to me with complaints about coaches WHO DON’T YELL ENOUGH. Not joking. Parents believe that the quiet and calm coaches “don’t care” or “aren’t helping our kids win”. It happens every season

Maybe it’s just the cycle of things. Coaches who know no better just copying what the stereotype of a coach is?
I’ve had many mentees admit to doing this only so that players and parents think they know what they’re doing

@MrBlackFootball Everyone pissed at Xavi and this is terrible but we were a disgrace on set pieces all day. All the big lads would come up and we’d play short and dick around and not put a ball in. WTH was the plan? Bc it seems clearly they were told to not be direct here

We can say many things about Tottenham. And doubtless we will. But how Vicario is still their goalkeeper absolutely baffles me. Good keepers make a big difference. And so do bad ones.

@SebOnFootball Part of me says keep Romero and VDV. They helped build this mess. “Elite CB’s” 😂. They’ve been leaking goals for 3 years and can’t stop getting either disciplinary issues or injuries.
