The unanimous passing of the Samoan citizenship bill, has more to do with timing than it being the right thing to do. The new citizens won't be eligible for the pension, until they spend 10 years living in NZ. How many will still be around by then??

No Samoan wants their parent in aged care but unfortunately for us due to dad's dementia and aggressive behaviour, this is the safest place for him. I cry every visit and not sure how im going to handle it when I return to Samoa next week.#dementiasucks
