What happened to me was unacceptable - but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. A Jewish woman was put in a bikini in Auschwitz. Women were put in ball-gags for speaking out. Women were covered in imitation semen. And all because xAI did not build Grok with safety in mind.

Neighbourhood policing is back. New stats show neighbourhood officer numbers have grown by 22% in just one year, helping cut crime and make communities safer. And this number will continue to grow. Putting officers where the public wants them: on our streets fighting crime.

"Grok, take her clothes off." Men and boys type commands like this into X every day, using photos of real women and girls taken from social media, school websites and family albums. Grok strips them and shares the results with thousands. The woman or girl that is being abused by men and boys with the aid of AI is usually not aware. We think this is unacceptable! If you agree sign the👇 petition: actionnetwork.org/forms/saia-pet… Reuters discovered 100+ requests to create bikini images of women in just ten minutes. A 24-hour analysis found Grok producing around 6,700 sexual or nude images every hour. Follow: @stopAIabuse1 / @Jess4Lowestoft Find out more: saiacampaign.com

When someone discloses abuse, it’s not always easy to know what to say. The most important thing is to listen, believe them and support whatever they choose to do next. Here, I address common misconceptions and explain how you can help. Learn more: gov.uk/enough

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the @UKAIofficial Women in AI Working Group and the @NCWGB parliamentary roundtable, "Women Leading Britain's AI Future: Safe, Inclusive and High-Growth," on 15 July 2026 at the @UKHouseofLords.🙏 We are incredibly grateful to @Jess4Lowestoft MP for hosting this roundtable and @KanishkaNarayan MP, UK Minister for AI and Online Safety, for his remarks in support of this initiative. Thank you also to @BaronessUddin for her support.🙏 The discussion brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and civil society to address how AI is weaponized against women, girls, and young people, and to define what "safety by design" must look like. Thank you to all the speakers including Shweta Singh, Jessica Smith, Christina Tueje, Sarah Wyer, Tiffany Bayliss, James Wilson, Claire Roberts, @Timforchange and Ann Davison, as well as all the attendees for sharing their insights. 🙏 Thank you also to the UKAI team members including Mariya Radiowala for all their hard work in organising this event.🙏 It was a pleasure to chair this roundtable discussion. The key themes included: 👉 Harms of AI: Addressing the real-world impact of AI-generated deepfakes and sexualization. 👉 Regulation: The need for prevention-focused, capability-based regulation, including strict liability and lifecycle checks. 👉 Inclusion: Ensuring greater representation of women and marginalized groups in AI design and governance. 👉 Accountability: Improving evidence gathering, incident reporting, monitoring, and industry accountability, alongside funding for frontline safeguards. There was a clear consensus that the industry must pivot from reactive responses to preventative “safety by design” measures including pre-release, defaults and friction, at point of harm and accountability and lifecycle oversight. Attendees highlighted the UK’s opportunity to lead in responsible AI by implementing open-source safety tools alongside stronger cross-sector collaboration to align standards. Actions and Next Steps: 👉 Insights from this discussion will feed into the UKAI Women in AI Working Group - AI Inclusion (BRIDGE) Framework, a practical and actionable guide for the industry. 👉 UKAI will publish a report and we will continue to highlight immediate legal and policy levers, including new or updated legislation. If we want a trustworthy AI future, the UK must insist that safety is built in from day one—not bolted on after harm has occurred. These measures will be crucial in helping young people get the sleep they need, focus on school and college and spend more time with friends & family. We want young people to enjoy the benefits of tech while having the tools to make the online world a place where they can thrive.
Department for Science, Innovation and Technology@SciTechgovuk

Late-night scrolling. Endless autoplay. Algorithms designed to keep you hooked. We're changing that for 16 and 17-year-olds. New protections will mean overnight social media curfews and addictive features will be switched off by default, helping young people get better sleep, focus on what matters and enjoy healthier online habits.
