Looking for ideas on tractor mounted tanks to strip till liquid phos with NH3 this year and I'm hoping I'm missing something because I don't love any of the options #agtwitter
@Deere_Salesman@gregzimpleman How are you selling in other dealers territories because we got shut down when trying to get a quote from a competitive dealer?
If you’re in North America, you can buy new equipment at the same price from any dealer
Dealers choose to run their own businesses independently
Don’t be mad at John Deere. They’re not
price fixing
Dealers just try to sell what they have to gain market share. Shocking, I know.
@Deere_Salesman I agree with your opinion on used purchases, but I'm not allowed to buy new from 2 of our local dealers because I'm in another dealers "area" regardless of how much better the quote is.
Hot take: Anyone who tells me larger dealership groups eliminate buying competition, they’ve never been on TractorHouse.
The internet has made sales competition nation wide.
@Deere_Salesman@JohnDeere Data Sync absolutely ruined the first day of planting, archived all my good setup, put all my good guidance lines into a pool of the other 500 lines that I'd archived because you couldn't delete, and wiped every one of my monitors.
I cannot rave enough about @JohnDeere Data sync. If you’re running Gen 4 or Gen 5 stuff, get it turned on. It makes life a breeze on setups between all machines.
It’s the best thing since RDA.
@CattleNerd Yes I am afraid we did just have our winterkill. You think I can put 100-140lbs on through a Deere coulter rig just a few inches deep and have no issue?
@jesseVONS At this point in the fall I would not expect a lot of uptake of N by radishes and turnips. Should be close to winterkill. So I would not expect an issue. I have had this question a few times and no one has seemed to have a problem.
Okay #agtwitter I have cattle grazing radishes and turnips on stalks. It's never a big deal to put NH3 on plain stalks, but will putting it on in the cover cause a nitrate issue for the grazing cattle?
