HOW I CHANGED MY COMBINATION FROM PCB, PCM, PEM, PAM & FINALLY MEA
After scoring a Distinction 2 (D2) in Physics, a Distinction 1 (D1) in Mathematics, and a Credit 3 (C3) in Chemistry in my Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) at Ordinary Level (O’ Level), I started seeing myself as a future senior engineer... someone in the league of Eng. Ronald Balimwezo. That became my dream
I joined Advanced Level (A’ Level) with a lot of confidence and swag as a bright student (bwat), promising my mom heaven on earth.
I told her I was going to score 20 points and become a great engineer for this nation
I started with PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology).
Just 2 weeks after orientation, in the very first lesson, they introduced us to the Biological Science(BS) & it completely opened my eyes. I dropped Biology and exchanged it for Mathematics. 🥺😂
I acted strong for some time in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) until we started serious Chemistry.... the complex benzene rings and practicals
While my classmates were seeing yellow precipitates, only Waboya was getting a black ppt in the entire class 😂
I took off for my life and switched to PEM (Physics, Economics, Mathematics) 😂
The economics teacher almost chased me out in the very first week
The teacher dug a pit for me but unfortunately, he fell into it himself and was fired 🔥😂
The new Economics teacher was excellent & quickly became one of the top students in the subject
Then, one day in the middle of the term, I had a dream that I could be the next Leonardo da Vinci 😂.
I left Economics and joined the Fine Art class 😭😂
That made it PAM (Physics, Art, Mathematics)
Shortly after, the Coronavirus broke out and we were sent home for a full year. When we returned, we were all automatically promoted to candidates. Dey play!! 😂
Upon returning, I had an hour discussion with the Director of Studies (DOS)
He was shocked and sent me back to the Economics class because I was “seeing stars” in Physics 😭😂
That’s how I finally ended up with MEA (Mathematics, Economics, Art)
From Engineer to Economist🔥🔥😂
