Updates were shared yesterday with Council on a new user fee policy and on its investments. A Corporate User Fee Policy is being created to provide a single, consistent approach across all services. As user fees have not increased with inflation or the City’s costs, this policy aims to improve accountability in how we set user fees and improve cost recovery for a better balance between those who use a service and taxpayers as a whole.
