For everyone freaking out about drafting Sam Roush… - Ben Johnson knows what he’s doing - Colston Loveland is basically an oversized WR - Likely primarily used as a blocker / in goal line sets - Can never have too many weapons

@itsfickybaby Grade off talent, value, or need? Id say Jones is A talent but not a 2nd rd need and could’ve been had in the 3rd. Rous h is a 3rd string player, should’ve been 5th rd pick. Thomas was a UFA. My 9year old does better on Madden.

Bears Fans thinking TE3 is an insignificant position in a Ben Johnson offense is sending me. This guy will be on the field 30% of the time. All it tells me is that they don’t understand his offensive philosophy This isn’t a “depth” position It’s a blocking specialist

@_MattKoza @POLESPLSEAT3 Even if the evals were accurate,if you have higher needs, you have to go that route. I’m not saying draft some bum just because he’s an edge, but you drafted a backup in 2nd round and a TE3 at the beginning of the 3rd round. Those are supposed to be starters or rotation pieces.

@therealburns3 Exactly! We sucked last year, got rid of DJ & Edmunds to get cap space, and haven’t done anything to improve the D. In fact as of now we seem worse and nothing done to address our biggest weakness

Jesus Christ man replies are brutal Yes, I know and agree our defense sucked last year Why im worried is I really don’t think we got much better Bryant and Bush help, but we didn’t solve the problem unless we hit some home runs especially on the D-line in the draft

@davebftv I think they got younger, but not sure we are a better team than we were when the season ended. Still no pass rush, questions at LT, decline in C, and still missing a safety. Right now I could say we’ve stayed the same, slight decrease on offense.

I think the Bears have attacked free agency really well. They have gotten better. Added speed. Got younger at some positions. Added depth. Nothing too flashy but good value deals. The draft is where the splashes will come as long as they hit. Like they did in last years draft.

@BearsShowYo Hes average. Doesn't draw alot of penalties or give up a ton of sacks, but he allows alot of pressures. He already has history playing with Thuney though so that can be a good thing. Not a Flashy choice, but a decent choice, probably depth with a Rookie.

Between the trade of DJ Moore, release of Tremaine Edmunds and retirement of Drew Dalman, the Bears have about $44M in new cap space as of this week. Be it addressing C or fortifying the defense, Chicago has spending power.
