This collab brought me so much joy! Playing music with these guys (regularly, on Tuesdays) was, and will always be, a highlight of my job. Thanks for going along with my harebrained scheme boys. Y'all are top-notch humans. #COVIDcollabs #mypeople youtu.be/_VjC5Z6akD0

Sam Harris is right. A tiny % of the population has statistical skills or depth of historical understanding to claim authority on such subjects. Needless to say everybody can claim to have opinions and seek out support for them. But shallow egalitarianism is not the solution.

Yes! So disappointing when the conversation around these things becomes about catching misuse rather than modelling and encouraging appropriate use.

Using a calculator isn’t cheating. Using spellcheck isn’t cheating. Using Google isn’t cheating. Using audiobooks isn’t cheating. Using #ChatGPT isn’t cheating. Let’s stop trying to catch kids cheating and start creating authentic assignments they won’t want to cheat on.

Sometimes when people sign-off emails with “Best Regards” I consider beginning my reply with “Dear old Times Square’s favourite bard.” #thousandsaresailing #thepogues
