The NA ER community is quite small but filled with passionate players who love the game myself included. I'm very sad because this will really make it harder for the game to grow in the west. I want to the game to get traction but not for unfortunate reasons like this.

All of this for a small dedicated community. Why? Because we love this game a lot, many of us want this game to grow.
Instead of trying to grow it, now they demonstrate a lack of communication, and essentially shift blame. It feels like they genuinely didn't check what happened

@jestersage_ @LoviahWitch As far as I know, the character was scheduled for release soon with all the English lines recorded. The company has since removed all of the recorded English lines and will release the character without any English voice lines until they can record the replacement lines.

I'm sorry if NN is actually recasting Bihyung over THAT joke from years ago, that's so insane. Especially because Bihyung is almost out??? Are they really going to waste all of that money recasting at the last second?? I feel so bad for Dottovu but also NN is so UGH sometimes!!!

Coming from someone whose English is also not their first language, if English is not a language you're fluent in, I hope you are able to first analyze and understand what wordplay and a genuinely harmful comment is before taking action. This has always been a constant problem I've had with some individuals where they would process my words through a rough translator and twist my words. It was hurtful to see this but I didn't think it could be harmful but I see how mistranslations toward myself could make a negative impact. I hope those who would misconstrue words through a mistranslation could reflect on how their seemingly innocent action can impact others and be more careful with their actions. As for the individuals who misconstrue with ill intent in mind, I sincerely hope you can grow as a person.

The Korean Eternal Return community thinks they're doing us a favor, but in reality just lost one of the biggest opportunities for the west to grow, over a pun that wasn't even directed towards the game. Most of the people upset probably dont even use EN VA. Huge disappointment.

I love Eternal Return, it's a very fun game, and while I'm no longer interested in hololive, I won't put up with what happened today so I hope the game ends up in the dirt unless they somehow make amends.
