my sister convinced me to start this!

@drippylucas69 it’s a great movie and it was definitely meant to get people talking about it!!
English

@jesuspinkman Ok listening to this definitely changes my perspective since it's coming from the actress herself and you know like the real "truth" but like everything I'm basing off is from what the director chose to show so I guess that's the ambiguity that he sought out for.
English

@drippylucas69 no i mean i could understand the argument that before bear actually knew that nikki wasn’t herself that he wasn’t taking advantage bc he didn’t know either! i really mean after the dinner scene when it’s clear it’s not really her and that something is wrong
English

@jesuspinkman I don't like bear so I'm not defending him when I say this but from the prior stuff in the movie he doesn't seem like one to take advantage of the situation (i.e. her wanting to sleep with him and go in her house), but I guess it's plausible that he would've continued
English

@drippylucas69 this is a video of the actress talking about that scene and i think it puts it into perspective a little bit! youtube.com/shorts/4DfJUKD…

@drippylucas69 the only reason bear distanced himself from her later is because she starts acting crazy/feeding him his cat and shit. if she had still been more “normal” but he knew the wish worked but it wasn’t really nikki, he would have continued the relationship
English

@drippylucas69 not necessarily based off the rules of whatever movie has the wish in it. but again, we’re talking about obsession. the movie makes it clear that everything that’s happening is against nikki’s will and after a certain point, bear knows that too
English

@drippylucas69 not necessarily but in obsession—the movie actually being discussed—it’s very clearly rape
English

@Lana_kintsugi20 @Skootish99 Genuinely asking, if any movie features the concept of someone wishing for something and it happens to them (I.e. the shitty Netflix Irish wish movie) and they have sex, you claim that’s rape?
