🚨 In a 7-2 vote, the Supreme Court OVERTURNS Balogun’s red card and suspension. Justices Jackson and Sotomayor dissented, arguing that the Court improperly used the emergency docket to decide a complex issue without adequate briefing or normal appellate process.

Remember when the police force tried to make a statement doing this but it came off more like retiring a star players number than a condemnation

@0x49fa98 It’s weird how people will insult you for simply having an opinion/analysis on something that might be incorrect, even when you’re otherwise aligned with them on many things. I’ve gotten that on here a couple of times, I just don’t engage and move on.

@UbermenschMind For France v Spain, one of the few ethnically French players on the field will ironically be playing for Spain, after being DEI’d out of representing France. Even as a 1/4 frenchman it’s a no brainer for me to support Spain

The reason every US military chaplain chaplain awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor since the Civil War was a Catholic priest is because Catholic priests have something to offer a dying soldier that Protestant chaplains don’t: last rites. That’s why they would routinely put themselves in harm’s way to reach dying men on the battlefield, why they inspired their fellow soldiers to become Catholic, and why they alone have been recognized with the Congressional Medal of Honor in the modern era.

“The Catholics pick the very best chaplains - young, virile, active and patriotic. The troops look up to them. I’ve only met one or two Protestant chaplains worth their ration cards.” - USMC Lt. General Chesty Puller In the Pacific Theatre of WW2, a Protestant chaplain approached Col. Puller, complaining that many Marines were converting to Catholicism. Later, while the Marines were out on patrol, Puller found that same chaplain at the battalion HQ. He told him, “Your place was with the fighting men. You remember our little talk about Protestant boys joining the Catholics? They see those priests doing their duty and see you evading it. I can’t work up much sympathy for you.” There were so many converts that mothers in the US wrote letters to the front, concerned that their sons would join the Catholic Church. Puller wrote back that if the Protestant chaplains had the guts to go where the Catholic chaplains did, where the bullets were flying, maybe their sons wouldn’t be converting. Chesty Puller, a lifelong Episcopalian, had great respect for the Catholic chaplains of WW2 and even sent his own children to Catholic school after the war.

Really fascinating way to frame the rise of new tennis sensation Arthur Fery (in a "right-wing" paper), as if a superior genetic inheritance is "nepotism" and as if Fery hasn't had to work hard. This shows you just how much leftism has colonised even "right-wing" thought.

I hesitate to speak out about this, I submit to the discipline of the Church and generally the people against priestly celibacy are heretics in other matters, but it does worry me that Trad Communities may be doing reverse-eugenics by having their best and brightest become celibate. Some people say Ireland did this. It’s a matter of having faith in God, I suppose.

My most lib opinion is that I don’t believe in the requirement of priestly celibacy. Though my reasoning is that we need more White babies and priest’s clearly have the best genetic stock in light of their virtue. Also just from a pragmatic point of view, we can’t really afford to be picky regarding disciplines when we have such a profound shortage of priests in many European countries.

@PlatosGooncave Yes, while I don’t know his specific circumstances, many of his generation specifically chose to limit the amount of kids they had. Assuming that their 2.5 kids would continue their bloodline, but the contraceptive mentality they introduced eventually comes full circle

@pleasemilf Yes but this is about the only case it’s justified for a woman to wait that long. She can have about 2 to 3 kids who will inherit astounding generational wealth and freedom vs childless corporate girlboss at that same age who’s renting a shoebox in manhattan

A very specific type of leftist middle-class hispanic has also adopted this style. A minority right now, and probably won’t get much more traction due to cultural reasons. But they exist and they’re a direct imitation of these Anglo types, only about 10 years behind the times, as usual.

Incredible that a version of this guy exists to at least some degree in all of the Anglosphere countries. A real dark energy in the culture and people must be producing them

I also hear people giving the example of “thinking the consecrations were a good thing/justified” as the litmus test of being considered one of these excommunicated laymen, but what if a person want to give them the benefit of the doubt in regards to the consecrations or even agrees with them, but doesn’t exclusively go to their Masses?

Is it just me or is this just an exceedingly high bar to cross? On my own behalf, I wouldn’t say that the SSPX is above the Pope, and I wouldn’t limit myself to just the SSPX. I love the little diocesan TLM an hour and change from College Station.
