@MichaelRedd_ They were slightly better in the reg szn this year than last year. They’ve objectively been much better in the playoffs this year. Too early to declare them champs, but calling the Thibs firing idiotic was clearly premature, whether they move past ECF or not.

A hypothetical Pacers all-in pivot trade to maximize their title window after losing the No. 5 overall pick for Ivica Zubac:
Indiana: Trey Murphy III
Pelicans: Obi Toppin, Jarace Walker, Johnny Furphy, 2027 1st, 2028 swap, 2030 swap, 2031 1st, 2032 swap, 2033 1st
New Orleans will want a Desmond Bane-type haul — three to four 1sts — to even entertain Murphy deals.

@NBA_NewYork Embiid put serious pressure on KAT and Mitch with foul trouble early in game 1. That wound up not mattering bc the Knicks decimated the 6ers in every other aspect of the series. I don’t think Duren or any of the other Detroit bigs can do that

@TheDunkCentral @Tjonesonthenba I hope this is not some long drawn out Joel Embiid trade saga. It would probably be best for both parties if they find a suitable trade partner asap. Philly has something with the Maxey/VJ backcourt, and i don’t think it fits with Embiid. Blame it on injuries if you have to

Joel Embiid reportedly hasn’t been seeing eye to eye with the Sixers front office and even had an issue with the Jared McCain trade, per @Tjonesonthenba
“As the season progressed, it became clear the star center didn’t see eye-to-eye with the front office and the coaching staff. In the days before the February trade deadline, he implored the front office to do something other than what he termed ‘ducking the (luxury) tax.’ As such, he — along with others in the locker room — were not happy with the decision to trade second-year guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder, particularly without bringing in a player to replace McCain. In interviews over the next few games, Embiid noticeably had to hold himself back from verbally criticizing the front office.”
