An Analysis on Übermensch : The Journey [prelude] I have been thinking about this a lot eversince Jiyong posted his previous solo album covers on IG story back in February, before Übermensch was released. There were a lot of questions on why he skipped One of A Kind EP on his post, and looking back I think I can kinda know why. And in this thread, I'll try to explain how Jiyong's journey as a solo artist mirrors the three phases of metamorphosis in order to become the Übermensch as pointed out by Nietzsche in his book. So obviously, this is purely based on my thoughts, as a long time fan, and someone who likes to look at his lyrics to try to understand the meaning and the philosophical standing of his works. This is 100% theory-crafting, and ofc I didn't get to consult about this to Mr. Dragon himself, so please don't take anything I said as a gospel but treat it as a light-reading material(?) and take it with a shit ton of salt 😂 disclaimer: I didn't actually read the book, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, but I did quite an extensive research (aka googling and talking to chatgpt & gemini) regarding the philosophy and summary of the book, so if anything is off and inaccurate, feel free to enlighten me on this 🙏🏻
