@jezpetty @HarvardBiz Hate to wax philosophical, but shouldn’t you invest heavily in people because you are a decent, well brought up individual? (“F the CEO, I’m doing this [investment in people] because it’s the right thing to do.”)

@The_Mighty_Mojo Haha. Excellent tweet. Can’t we just enjoy the shear talent of the forwards on both sides?!

@tom_peters @HarvardBiz Because CEOs need to sign off significant budget to invest in enhancing employee experience well before they see the return in the financials. And frankly, too often, they don’t trust the people advising them to do this. Sadly. Hopefully reports like this grab their attention.

‘Football as it should be played.’ 💯. This is absolutely next level from both sides, though. Premier league take note. Slow, possession based sideways passing, control = often boring. This is a joy to watch. #PSGBAY

@michaelevansuk 💯. The worst impact of this platform is the gleeful removal of nuance. You’re black or white. In or out. Slot or not. Life’s not like that. It’s soooo tedious.

The funniest thing about the Slot out brigade on here, is that you have to be 💯 in with what they say. Not 80% or even 95% but the whole hog. You can even believe like I do that it’s best he moves on and still be a heretic. The Council of Nicea in 334 was less hostile 😂

@JohnoTHEJAM @AnthonyTeasdale Great pic. How the Kop was when i started going in the mid 80s. 80p to get in. Queue up from 1pm. Up those long concrete steps to the top back of the Kop and look down onto that small green canvas below. Dreaming of what’s to come in the next few hours. What a feeling that was!

@WG_RumblePants Only Glenn McGrath could rival Jimmy for putting it in the right spot ball after ball after ball. We missed him badly in Australia. Delighted we have him playing for @lancscricket full time now though…

Sir James Anderson is currently the leading wicket taker in the 2026 County Championship — by some margin too. 21 wickets at an average of 12.09 and an economy of 2.54

@TheAnfieldWrap I think he goes Salah and Gakpo with Wirtz as a false 9. Then Macca Grav and Dom, because apparently Macca always gets to start no matter how big his drop off has been. And I think he won’t play Rio. I sincerely hope I’m wrong on all of this

"I'd definitely go with Rio and Salah - I'd probably hold Isak back...I can see the start of the game being a bit frantic really." "You don't really want another situation where it's half an hour in and Isak's touched the ball four times..." 🎥 The Friday Night | Erdinger

@ChrisKirkland43 @DWindass10 Brilliant work Chris. I know you’re part of a community that promotes talking and walking. So many will have benefitted from your example without you even knowing. You should be proud of yourself. Keep it up. YNWA.

@stewartflaherty Indeed. A great interview. Inclusive of previous manager, squad players etc. He’s grown massively as a manager it seems. Brilliant achievement for him, the club and the city. 👏

@RorySmith The nostalgia at the heart of this tournament….is not just for these players or for the football they played. It’s for the way they made us feel. That is what has gone, that first flush of love and wonder, and what can never be recaptured.” 🎯👏 so good, Rory. But isn’t it sad.

I went to Rome last month to see 10,000 or so people go to their happy place: watching Totti, Veron and Zanetti play football. A piece on the bliss and the sadness of Operazione Nostalgia, and why what we really miss is how football once made us feel. observer.co.uk/news/sport/art…

@TheAnfieldWrap Ahh intensity, desire, pressing… I remember those good old days. Another massive loss for the dressing room, along with Hendo and Milner. Total lack of leaders remaining… worrying times.

Spot on here, John. The problem is cultural. There’s no accountability on or off the pitch. Mediocrity goes unpunished. They’re picked again regardless. Henderson and Milner wouldn’t have let them get away with it - on or off the pitch. We miss their leadership massively.

@jezpetty @JednotFrancis @michaelevansuk Doesn't give the fans the excuse to walk out and embarrass themselves You know I'm right because we all laughed and took the piss when Utd fans did it Want to protest, do it after the game, do it down the pub, do it by staying away YNWA means just that (to some)
