Senate Assessment & Tax is working SB 128 which would provide tax credits to parents with students not enrolled in public schools. The bill failed a committee vote in February. KASB opposes this bill. @KASBPublicEd #ksleg #ksed

Dr. Watson says that in other states, kansas level 2 would be considered proficient. This is because Kansas standards are more rigorous.

Students who score at level 2 on the math portion of the State Assessment correlate with a graduation rate of 93% - higher than the state average.

Dr. Watson shares that in 2017, the rigor of Kansas educational standards were rated 6th highest in the nation.

The Rep. Winn amendment fails. HB 2060 goes on to pass the committee of the whole favorably without any amendments.
