@jfajansenphd Nee. Er zijn best veel coronalabs, maar dit lab in Wuhan (WIV) is wereldwijd wel 1 van de grootste. Ze doen specifiek onderzoek naar SARS-achtige virussen, verzamelden duizenden monsters bij vleermuizen in Zuid-China, om te kijken of ze pandemierisico's konden voorspellen.

Wat ik ingewikkeld vind aan dit interview met @PhilippMarkolin is dat hij alles op 1 hoop gooit. Iedereen die laboratoriumherkomst serieus neemt als optie, is dús ook tegen vaccinaties, tegen de coronamaatregelen en anti-science. 🧵 1/7 volkskrant.nl/wetenschap/zij…

Onware uitspraken als 'lablek is ontkracht' en anti-science maakt oprechte waarheidsvinding lastig. In Wuhan deed men coronaonderzoek, waren er plannen om ze besmettelijker te maken, en is er geen labinspectie geweest. Journalistiek gezien is het logisch om dit te bespreken. 6/7
