@LeePulliam11 On the track and off, you continue to be to be no stranger to success, all the while keeping it real. You’re of the exact mold that made the sport likable by so many, me included. Way to go!

@A_S12 @wyffnews4 Good news, but sounds like there’s still work to be done. The track — and especially Pete and Tom Blackwell’s legacy — should be preserved.

There won't be any support series race to the Freedom 250 race weekend. It's going to be difficult enough to have enough space for one paddock (the INDYCAR paddock will be on Constitution Avenue).

There’s something different about watching a driver who used to race in your own backyard. @TylerReddick is making his mark on history after dominating the first three races of the @NASCAR Cup Series. Tyler spent time on the dirt at @I55Raceway, just right down the road from WWTR, putting in the laps and building the foundation that’s taken him to where he is now. That dirt-track background still shows up in the way he drives. After his Daytona 500 win, Tyler said, “I think just the adaptability of a dirt racer really comes in handy a lot of places we go.” He’s got deep ties to this area, and it’s been pretty incredible to watch that journey from short-track dirt to competing at the highest level of the sport. We are proud to see him representing this region every weekend. We are looking forward to what’s ahead for him the rest of the 2026 season and his return here on September 13! @lcouncilswil | #DownstateIL

Tyler Reddick became the first competitor at the highest level of Nascar to win the opening three races of a season. And he pulled off the three-peat driving for Michael Jordan. on.wsj.com/4044BWz

Penske leaning on its foundational tenet “it’s all about the people” with this hire. Having in-market leadership depth is invaluable, and Jim Liaw brings a range of experience that will serve the organization and sport really well.
Adam Stern@A_S12

Grand Prix of Long Beach chief Jim Michaelian, who has helped run the event since its 1975 founding, will move into a new position with Penske after June and be replaced by PRI GM Jim Liaw, per release. 🗨Mark Miles: "IndyCar owes an immense debt of gratitude to Jim Michaelian."

A stalwart for the racing industry, Michael was a straight shooter who understood the value of a relationship. He was a purpose-driven leader who took the time to get to know the fans, yielding unmistakable momentum, loyalty and fun. Rest in peace.

This is the only time I ever saw Greg pour cold water on anything. And as with everything in life, he did it with purpose and a smile. He was instantly likable and a giver at heart with a keen awareness of the big picture. One of the good guys. Prayers to all of the families.

Christmas came early this week when James Finch called to shoot the bull and share a laugh. Had fun catching up on just about everything and always appreciate his wisdom. One of one.
