Austin Reaves underwent a second MRI on his left rib cage on April 4, 2026, after a diagnostic error by Dallas Mavericks medical staff delayed his official injury diagnosis. Lakers head coach J.J. Redick expressed his frustration on Saturday when it was discovered that the initial imaging session failed to target the specific area of concern.
“I don't know where the chain of command lies with Dallas imaging, but uh they scanned the wrong area. Not on our end. We made it explicit what was supposed to be scanned but they scanned the wrong area."
Technical staff in Dallas has not issued an official comment regarding the miscommunication or the specific nature of the scanning error.

Your reading comprehension skills aren't the best. I'm not advocating for this fan, especially because I'm a Luka fan, but kicking him out of the stadium like some prominent people are calling for, would be detrimental to the league. It's like saying because you don't agree with someone you should take away their first amendment right to free speech. Fuck that. Don't be a soft little bitch. If the fan wants to be a dick, it's his right. If Reeve wants to stick up for Luka, that's good too.
