Jasmine Crockett: The only “partisan actors" on SCOTUS are "the six Republican appointee justices." In the world of Jasmine and MSNOW, KBJ, Sotomayor and Kagan are all famously down-the-middle, non-partisan actors.

Utopia is not the standard. Reality is. Every civilisation has sins if you judge it by today’s moral standards. You can build an entire career doing nothing but listing them. That is easy. The harder question and the only one that matters is this: compared to actual, existing alternatives, who has done better? I am not claiming the West is perfect. It is not. No society is. But if you are honest about measurable progress on rights, equality, and self-correction, it is still ahead of every other major system in the world today. So stop asking "is it perfect?" That is a childish question. Ask: "compared to what?"

Who remembers that the late long-time California Democrat U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and former Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee had a Chinese spy staffer work for her for almost 20 years?

Just so everyone is aware: The site is awash today in FALSE claims that the Supreme Court is violating its own rule about not making changes in voting cases too close to an election. The "Purcell" principle is that federal courts should not ORDER changes in voting cases too close to an election date and put the burden on states to figure out how to comply. What has happened today is that the Supreme Court has simply ALLOWED Alabama to decide for itself what it wants to do in the aftermath of the decision in the Louisiana decision last week. Democrats and their supporters are LYING. Plain and simple.

@nazanin7 What's with the 'white' girl shit? Everyone in the entire scene has similar skin tones. Skin tones of the attacker and the attackee are similar. Probably the attacker is a regime affiliated Iranian expat to boot.

The white girl's carrying $15000 Channel bag using cheap oil from the regime who shot the OWNER of the oil in the eye. AND, the white girl attacking the oil owner who was shot and stripped off her national wealth by the regime because she wants freedom. The irony is suffocating!

Jen Psaki on the 2028 Dem primary: "There is no, thank God, dark room in Washington where people sit around and they decide here's who the nominee is going to be." She just described exactly how the last Democrat presidential nominee was chosen.

If you want to scare the heck — peacefully — out of every other sitting United States Senator, then help defeat John Cornyn on May 26th. Incumbent Senators just don’t lose primaries — it’s very rare. Defeating Cornyn would send shockwaves across the country.

@davidhazony @JewofJewdea ‘Much less compelling’. Yes. But life is not all about political standing. You need to have enough political standing to accomplish your policy objectives. Any more than enough is, in a sense, wasted. Especially if the extra has comes at the cost of foregoing progress on policies

I’m suggesting that when you list objectives explicitly and publicly, do not attain them, and then claim victory, it’s much less compelling to voters than if you do attain them. You don’t want to be Olmert claiming victory after Lebanon II. Same thing. Only this time I believe Trump knows it.

I will be shocked if these rumors of a deal become a deal. How many times have we been through this? Rumors of a deal, usually transmitted by Axios, flutter about as the U.S. continues to build forces. The proposed agreement, with all its detail, sounds nothing like a win for Trump, even though he is not the type to settle for anything less than a politically plausible win. The talks break down, and another round of war ensues. It’s all a game. I could be wrong.

@jffmyr @JewofJewdea You’re not following. This is not a closed negotiation. It’s also an election campaign. And any *public* statements during the negotiation are more about that than about the deal itself.

@davidhazony @JewofJewdea I want to sell my house for $10 billion. I'll list it for that. I'll say that is my goal. But i'll accept $500,000. I wonder if you make the mistake of believing the Listed first offer. Do you imagine that statesmen reveal publicly their complete unvarnished intent.

@JewofJewdea How is it a win? The administration repeatedly discussed 4 aims: 1) zero enrichment, 2) zero leftover enriched uranium, 3) zero support for proxies, and 4) zero missiles beyond a certain range. How many were achieved?

@JewofJewdea @davidhazony re: "Unfortunately, as we saw with the Houthis, Trump will back down." The binary framing of 'back down/don't back down' clouds the perceptions, imho. I think a more appropriate framing would consider whether a venture improved conditions at an acceptable cost.

@davidhazony I think there's enough here for him to verbally construct a "win". Unfortunately, as we saw with the Houthis, Trump will back down. Maybe I'm pessimistic but it's not looking good.
