An interactive new addition is waiting for students at Wetmore. Sensory paths now line the halls, giving students the opportunity to re-focus their energy between classes. A sensory path is a series of guided movements that help burn excess energy and develop core motor skills.

When a child exhibits challenging behavior we should assume that it is the result of lagging skills & not willful defiance. Doing so not only builds on the trusting dynamic between you & the child, but helps the adult to remain regulated and calm throughout the interaction. #SEL
