#RP_INRAE Et si les champignons détenaient la clé du recyclage des plastiques ?
Les champignons filamenteux possèdent des enzymes spécifiques pour dégrader le bois, une matière naturelle très récalcitrante comme les plastiques. Les scientifiques ont réussi à reprogrammer ces enzymes pour qu’elles reconnaissent différents types de plastiques.
Un premier pas vers le bio-recyclage de cette matière omniprésente dont la gestion des déchets est un problème à l’échelle mondiale.
