I never had a source assaulted in front of me until today when an Israeli soldier who stopped my interview did this with a Palestinian peace activist Issa Amro in Hebron. I can't stop thinking how dehumanizing the occupation is on the young soldiers charged with enforcing it.

Weirdly I was writing a screenplay about the shuttle with @stephenharrigan when my wife brought us the news. Steve and I had both signed up to be the "journalist in space."

Just finished reading "Horse" by @GeraldineBrooks. After the wonderful story I enjoyed the afterword, where much research was revealed. Wish more authors would let us in on their secrets. I'm writing one now.
