✅ More then 80k social & affordable homes completed ✅ Out of more than 116k started ✅ And the most new council homes since the 1970s We’d have done even more if the last government hadn’t crashed housebuilding. Now we’re working with the new government to turn things around.

Our partnership with Peabody, Vistry @placesforlondon @MayorofLondon has resulted in 98 genuinely affordable social homes at Barkingside Yard. This morning I was pleased to join @tomcopley to see fantastic new homes nearing completion for local families on our waiting list.

@IlfordHistory I always assumed they were ex-council because of how they looked so this is great to confirm it!

I'm doing a deep dive through the 1921 Census now it is on Ancestry and are seeing houses in Crown Road, Princes Road, and along Horns Road that I'm fairly certain are new council houses. And then I found this...

The very last motion I proposed as a @LondonAssembly member back in 2020 was for the GLA to reclaim the Greater London Council’s coat of arms. It didn’t happen then, but I’m delighted an application is now being made to adopt it in time for the GLA’s 30th birthday.

Sadiq Khan seeks royal approval to revive the GLC's coat of arms for the GLA's 25th Anniversary ianvisits.co.uk/articles/sadiq… The Greater London Authority (GLA) could soon have its own Coat of Arms if a petition to The King to let them adopt the armorial from the old GLC is ...

It was a privilege to attend the Redbridge Foster Carers awards today and meet Geraldine, who has been fostering in Redbridge for 25 years! We always need more carers to provide loving, supportive homes. You can find out more about fostering here: bit.ly/4fmDnQ9

This report demonstrates movements in relative poverty between London boroughs and why we’ve told successive govts and @mhclg their funding formulas are not fit for purpose. No justification for Redbridge being the 3rd lowest funded per head in London. Fair funding now. 3/3
Trust for London@trustforlondon

Several Inner London boroughs, and boroughs in the North and East of the city, have higher levels of poverty. Camden, Westminster, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Brent, Ealing, Enfield, Barking & Dagenham, Redbridge and Wandsworth all have poverty rates higher than the London average

Superb effort by local volunteers to engage with our neighbours again today. A chilly but positive #LabourDoorstep across Redbridge. The challenge of repairing our nation, after 14 years of Tory failure, is well understood by the people of our borough.
