There is no such thing as a truly bad Monster Hunter game. No matter how much you may personally dislike parts of it - for whatever valid/silly reasons or real/imagined flaws, there is a lot of people who love that game; in spite of, or even because of what you dislike about it.


Awhile ago, reviewing the fights' structure of MH from past to present revealed to me that modern fights are designed with guidance so players would naturally do what should already been doing previous games. i.e modern fights have more planned experiences than "sand-box" feels

This is true because even the worst Monster Hunter (world) is still Monster Hunter
