A Ca channel (CatSper) in complex with an inorganic anion transporter (SLCO6C1). Maybe Ca is buffered in the principle piece of the sperm tail, like what is observed in mitochondria where Ca phosphate granules store reserves of Ca? nature.com/articles/s4158… biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
