Tribalistic people are losers, just like colorists, racists, and misogynistic individuals. Such low-IQ behaviour. Shame.

Troy Deeney boldly said that Arsenal won’t win any trophy about a month ago. Now he’s saying we will win 2 at least. These are the people paid to analyze football matches. But same guy will say the problem he has are Arsenal fans. A “professional” paid to analyze football.

The concept of Troy Deeney in the studio giving analysis on a competition he never played in is funny to me.

You may not understand what I want to say but pleeeeaaseeeee keep reading. I assure you you will get it at the end. Thank you. The ECG machine in a hospital produces a line that goes up and down continuously. That movement is the sign of life. The moment it flatlines is the moment everything stops. Up and down is not weakness. It is proof that something living is still in the room. Footballers are no different. This video reminded me of something I have wanted to say for a while. Players get depressed. They get sick. They cry in private. They carry anxieties you will never read about in a match report. They have relationships that break down, parents that fall ill, and internal battles that have absolutely nothing to do with the next fixture. The footballer you watch twice a week is a full human being living a full human life- with blood in his veins, and the ninety minutes you see is the smallest fraction of what that life actually contains. You make errors at work. Everyone reading this has made a mistake this week, this month, or this year. A wrong call, a missed opportunity, a lapse in judgment that cost your team something real. The difference between your error and a footballer's is that yours was not watched live by 60,000 people inside a stadium and another two million online, dissected in real time, clipped, mocked, and argued about for days by people who have never met you and never will. Think about the ECG machine in a hospital. The monitor that tracks your heartbeat. The line it produces goes up and down continuously. That constant fluctuation is the sign of life. The moment it flatlines is the moment everything stops. Up and down is not weakness. It is proof that something living is still in the room. What is the point of all this you might ask. Careers move the same way. Performances move the same way. Life moves the same way. Errors, injuries, bad nights, depression, lapses in judgment, these are not signs that a player is broken or finished or unworthy of their wages. They are signs that a human being is navigating something difficult under conditions most of us will never fully understand. Footballers are not robots. They are not goods on a shelf. They are not commodities to be rated, discarded, and replaced when they stop performing to your personal standard. They are people with feelings, fears, bad days, and breaking points. The fact that you only ever see them on television does not change that. If anything, it should make you more careful about how easily you forget it. See the human first. The footballer comes after. Grace costs nothing and it might be the most important thing you offer someone who will never know you gave it. Thank you for reading till this point. My name is Ajoje. I am a FIFA Licensed Agent and International Sports Lawyer. I write on the Law and Business of Football, a lot. Repost and Follow if you want to read more posts like this.
