@Metrorailinfo Also by the way when the train departed early today, I was also looking at the screen at the actual station next to tracks as well. Said 2 minutes. The conductor of the train looked at the departure time/screen directly and decided to depart early anyway.

@Metrorailinfo No, I was using the DC Metro and Bus app. Guessing one is officially supported by WMATA and the other isn't? Just downloaded the SmarTrip app. Not quite as user friendly it appears but do they use different data for arrival/departure times?

Usually love @wmata app, h/e guess it’s no longer ever accurate? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Just had to run onto a train at Huntington where the closing door 🔔 rang while the sign clearly said it was departing in 2 minutes. When 2 min now = being on time and 30 min late, it matters. @unsuckdcmetro

If it’s not accurate/on time and don’t know whether it will take 45 min or 1.5 hours to get to work, I’ll drive or bike in future. Failing to ensure these simple things function will ensure ridership doesn’t improve. Do better @wmata cc @wmataRAC

Honestly not sure what is happening behind the scenes but perhaps it’s the whim of the drivers, getting bored etc. @wmata is facing some challenges but this seems like something simple and no cost to fix. Im at the end of the line and plan when I leave my house based on app info
