China’s solar power plant in Dunhuang uses around 12,000 mirrors to focus sunlight onto a central tower, heating molten salt to extreme temperatures. That heat is stored and used to generate electricity on demand, including after sunset.

@BrosephusMaxim @johnloeber But then you can never go home again!

@johnloeber Place a $20 bill in sight of the front door when you leave. If its ever gone, dont go inside, as the burglar might still be there.

Given the PyPI supply chain attack, I recommend keeping a canary in the coalmine:
I have a bitcoin private key containing $100 of BTC in my .bashrc. It's clearly labelled.
If my system is ever compromised by some bad package, the BTC will get stolen, and I'll see the move on-chain. And that'll tell me that I need to rotate every single other secret.
There are even services that will send you an alert (text, email, whatsapp...) if a given bitcoin address moves funds. It's good to have a burglar alarm, especially when time is of the essence.

The Treasury just quietly admitted the U.S. government is insolvent. $47.78 trillion in liabilities. $6.06 trillion in assets. My Six Penny Plan would balance the budget in five years. But that would require the government to actually stop spending money it doesn't have.

@BarackObama All of the things you mentioned made healthcare more expensive for people that actually pay for it

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time.
The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more.
But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

Graham Hancock once said that if he knowingly told a lie, it'd tank his career
Here he is knowingly lying. @Graham__Hancock, you are a liar and a coward

Who is the liar Graham? @Graham__Hancock Because I've got emails that clearly document your red-handed lies right here. They emailed you and you chickened out. Graham Hancock lacks integrity and testicular fortitude Hey @joerogan your buddy is a liar and a coward
