£300 a year just for driving 10,000 miles. Pay-per-mile tax from 2028. Drive to work? Pay. Visit family? Pay. Live outside a big city? Pay more. Another “targeted” policy that hits ordinary people hardest.

Daylight robbery! Royal Mail has just hiked the price of a first-class stamp to a whopping £1.80 (up 10p from £1.70). That’s more than doubled in just six years, while delivery targets haven’t been met since 2019. Paying nearly £2 to post a letter is an absolute rip-off.
