3 years ago I became the first American citizen to be banned from an airline for refusing to wear a mask. I was on American Airlines, and an overzealous flight attendant told me it was a federal law that I wear a mask, and that the plane wouldn’t leave unless I did. I told her it was not a federal law. In fact, at that point it wasn’t even a mandatory airline policy. I was told to leave the plane, which I did with no argument. A reporter from CNN was on that plane and turned my refusal to participate in the insanity that was sweeping our nation into a story, which became international news. Because of the pressure from the leftwing media, the mandatory mask policy was instituted a day or two after my incident, and I was banned from American Airlines until such time that “masks are no longer required”. I’m sure there are many people in this world who would like me to feel ashamed about the incident and the subsequent banning, but I do not. At a time in history when most people voluntarily went along with all that was illogical because it was easier not to stand up against the madness, and even consented to giving up their rights, I stood by my principles. Even when it was costly and unpopular to do so. 3 years later, I’m flying American Airlines again for the first time today. Never voluntarily comply to do what you know in your heart to be wrong.

I had drinks yesterday with 3 old friends who had stopped speaking to me because my politics are “wrong.” They’re diehard Democrats. They said they will vote Biden in 2024. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to process the idea that people will still vote for a president no matter what harm he does to them. I don’t know how to reconcile the fact that 3 of the most politically savvy people I know want another 4 years of this senile maniac. And most importantly, I don’t know why we even bother voting anymore, if it’s not to achieve the best outcome for our nation, but rather to just “win at all costs.” I’ve gotta do some serious thinking right now because if people want Biden NO MATTER HOW BAD A PRESIDENT HE IS, then we’ve got a serious problem with our political system. We have become the country we used to joke about, and fought against not becoming. God bless America 🇺🇸
