This right-wing critique of Scotland cannot even get the basic numbers right. Claims the SNP won 33% of the vote (FPTP & list divided by 2) which is not a real figure. The SNP won 38% of FPTP votes: 20% of the electorate. Do the basics.
Kathy Gyngell@KathyConWom

Scotland’s Holyrood result looks like an SNP win, but dig into the numbers and a different story emerges. The party got just 17% of the total electorate. The SNP is fading. conservativewoman.co.uk/scotlands-elec…

With 33.7% of the vote in 2024 It's a Labour "landslide" and Labour can do anything With 37% of the vote in 2015 Tories decide they have the right to call a EU referendum in 2016 With 38.2% of the vote in 2026 SNP is told its not enough for an independence referendum

Scottish Labour framing it as Westminster fault for their rather poor performance is ever so slightly ironic.

It would also be really unfortunate if @D_G_Alexander was on record trying to dissuade the First Minister of Scotland from promoting Scottish interests, wouldn’t it?

Also: gifts aren’t taxable. So £5m tax-free personal “gift” to Farage will be the the biggest single sum accepted by any UK politician in democratic history. Reform is lobbying for crypto tax cuts, forcing BoE to hold crypto etc. A scandal hiding in plain sight.
Steven Swinford@Steven_Swinford

Nigel Farage has been referred to the Standards Commissioner after @Annaisaac revealed that he received a £5million gift from cypto billionaire Christopher Harborne before he was elected in 2024 Farage said that he used the money to fund his private security. But the Commons rules state that new members are required to register any benefits - including gifts - that they received in the 12 months prior to their election The Tories have now referred Farage to the Standards Commissioner, saying that Farage must 'come clean'

80% of the British Media is owned by 5 non-domiciled billionaires. Not one of them live here or pay UK tax. Everything our vindictive opinion led MSM is now broadcasting is for their personal profit and dubious foreign political allegiances. Our government needs to intervene NOW!

Sarwar says Mandelson should never have been considered for the US ambassadorship role. Okay then, why did Sarwar visit him for a photo opportunity after the appointment and boast that the disgraced peer was an “old friend”?

EXCLUSIVE: As of April 2026, BBC Scotland is consistently identified as having the highest level of negative or "politicised" news regarding the Scottish Gvt among the broadcasters - 3 times more likely than @STVNews to explicitly link negative news stories to the Scottish Gvt.

John Swinney is interrupted mid-answer no fewer than forty five times by Fiona Stalker in this interview. FORTY FIVE! Note, he is in the process of answering and is being constantly interrupted. This is not how to conduct an interview. Listeners were denied the opportunity to hear points in full. Yes, by all means interrupt when a question is being avoided, ask follow up questions if necessary, but to interrupt when an answer is being given is unacceptable.
MSM Monitor@msm_monitor

Fiona Stalker's interview with John Swinney is the most poorly conducted interview we've ever heard. Stalker is married to a Scottish Labour activist and former candidate. She should not be conducting these interviews. She begins by interrupting and never stops. The interview is rendered almost pointless as she kills every response.
