NCP has gone into administration. They’ve been running car parks since 1931, and somehow ended up £305m in debt. Surely the maintenance for a car park is simple: ticket machines, barriers, lights, and occasional cleaning. How can a business model literally based on people paying to park go bankrupt?

Whilst she has been compared to many jazz and soul greats, Polly Gibbons’ own narrative style and deep emotional engagement with the music make her a true original. Polly has been nominated twice as Best Jazz Vocalist by @jazzfm and performs on our stage on Sat 6th July. 🎶

An unsurprisingly barnstorming performance from Alan Barnes and his Quintet last night at East Side paying tribute to the music of Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins and Charlie Parker. And there’s great live jazz at East Side in E11 each and every Tuesday: eastsidejazzclub.co.uk/upcoming-event…
