@DaiXGurren this is just not true and i feel like you might just not be active in the fandom enough to see the way people talk (or lack thereof) about female characters

@jinx76_ this is strange because... they do? amo riyo and semiu are the biggest examples of this imo but there's also no other characters, male or female, who have been developed more than rudo and zanka. (and that's being generous to zanka because amo is genuinely insanely popular)

riyo and eishia getting so much less content in this fandom really does not sit right with me

@DaiXGurren if we've had a good amount of female characters who are vibrant and relevant then why does the fandom not care about those female characters? it's one or the other

@jinx76_ right and this is a reasonable complaint until you realize that riyo's backstory has been getting teased since trash storm and a good amount of female characters we've seen is vibrant and relevant semiu losing her eyesight is a good example of this

@DaiXGurren im not saying amo's character arc is bad. im saying its bad that she's nearly the only female character with a proper backstory, relevance, and AGENCY in the story currently

@DaiXGurren the story should decentralize men more in the first place. it shouldn't take 168 chapters for this. you guys are too used to shonen stereotypes and it blinds you to where there's real problems in urana's writing & how she treats women

@DaiXGurren that is bad. we're 168 chapters in. why dont we have more developed female characters? why dont our female characters have any meaningful relationships to each other?

@Flamer1d3rX i think there is a way to keep him alive and develop his character (amo!) but i also think people using eishia as a scapegoat is a consequence of urana writing her with very little agency
