I'm definitely up for hiring programmers into full-time positions who don't have experience with the tech stack. But for consultants it depends on the size of proj, the gap in specific exp, and complexity of the tech. Right? Had consultant comment they can just pick it up. Hmm.
I gotta stop saying “it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.” For me, writing code and building software isn’t a sprint, marathon, or ultramarathon. More like an infinite box of legos.
Thrilled that we have a woman VP Elect, but let’s tone down “America is setting an example” talk. Not to be all Newsroom McAvoy about it, but let’s not kid ourselves, US isn’t some shining example leading on this front. We can do better! Harris 2024!
