Undocumented people, and immigrants in general, shouldn’t have to “prove” our worth for our humanity to be recognized.

Great reminder from @Jeopardamy that visible allyship is very important to shaping society/continuing to make progress. Knowing when and how to disrupt transphobic/homophobic narratives is key - and then doing it! Happy Pride! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

14 students killed in an elementary school shooting in Uvalde, a heavily Latino city in Texas. Border Patrol also on the scene. I pray for those parents fearing that their kids are dead and debating whether or not they'll be arrested if they go to find out.

Students used to enter my classes w simplistic notions about saving the world. My job was to break those ideas down+lead them to more nuanced understandings of social change. Now, students enter class believing nothing matters, and my job is to show them ways change is feasible.

In other news: Lisa and I made the final payment on our greenhouse and the components should be shipping within the next two weeks. So hopefully we'll soon have a greenhouse to work with as our garden continues to grow.

@zachwolfelaw @HannahWVR I handle spiders unless I am the one who was originally spooked by the spider, then it’s their turn to magically handle spiders. Makes 0 sense 🤷🏽 it’s more of a moral support thing. Sometimes the spider gets a free roaming around pass if neither one is up for it.

@HannahWVR This is exactly the kind of weirdly specific division I’m talking about.

Married people, do you have strict, arbitrary divisions of labor with your spouse? Like, I don’t know how to Door Dash. Mrs zachwolfelaw does that. She will *not* take a car in for repairs. That’s my job. I know nothing about how cars work. It doesn’t matter. It’s my job.

I tweet this every time men decide it's time to make decisions about women's bodies, but my ex boyfriend thought all women got their period on the 15th of the month. He was 26 at the time.

@acdmicmalcriada For real! Random allergy to a specific type of goat cheese popped up while I was enjoying a slice of pizza 😭 Apparently allergies can pop up any time, unannounced. They don’t care for the beautiful boundaries we have worked hard to develop 😅😂
