Figures can’t determine how much heart he has, we will never know what he would have produced sitting closer to the speed, no sectional specialist can determine that.

Just because Mr Brightside went faster than he ever has doesn’t mean he was given the best chance of winning the ASM. Race structures are more nuanced than most of the Twitter takes doing the rounds. I have no idea if he’d have won but don’t agree he was given the best chance.

@NickFinsUp @DreamTeamMatt @jivil10 @BenAsgariRacing I’ve certainly been trying to look at it objectively today - my impression has been that the training team weren’t upset they were beaten, more so that their instructions weren’t followed - that’s been the issue
