I’m glad she was able to find it in her heart to forgive such a monster. I don’t have to forgive him as he never harmed me. That being said, when you are truly repentant it’s not as simple as saying “I’m sorry” (which he’s never publicly said). You have to actually show that you’ve changed and that you feel guilt over your actions. He didn’t even have the balls to go to court. He just settled out of court to avoid any heat. If you’ve ever met a person who’s genuinely repentant you’d understand. At the very least he could’ve used his wealth to support some kind of charity but nope, he can’t even do that.

He wasn’t proven guilty because there was never a trial. That doesn’t mean he’s innocent. I’ve looked over the evidence and I’ve seen his actions. There’s very little reason to think he’s innocent. Also using the justice system as a basis for your morality is flawed. OJ Simpson killed his wife but was never convicted in a criminal court. Hundreds of racial lynchings that never resulted in any jail time. I agree that female rapists aren’t taken seriously enough but how does defending male rapist help the situation?

How is the audio not good enough evidence? He never denied that the audio was him, it sounds like him, and his gf uploaded them, he never denied causing those injuries. I agree that you shouldn’t immediately call a person guilty but what more evidence do you need? Also financial privilege is definitely a factor. At every level of the justice system, having money will be a benefit. Even if you’re a righteous person who doesn’t engage in corruption, simply having that money and wealth will benefit you. While it might be true that woman have a record of faking accusations (I don’t fully agree), you could say the same for men having a reputation of assaulting women. You have to treat each case individually and Greenwood specifically is almost guaranteed a rapist.
