@griffingulledge When people ask me about the Shroud... I respond, Which one?... there was an entire cottage industry producing these medieval relics... alleged wood from the cross, the head of JBapt, even the foreskins of John and Jesus...

@JeffFletcherOCR We shouldn't have to tolerate ANY bad call... just make ALL calls on the jumbotron. We have the technology. I think umps will eventually want it that way bc they won't have ABS to make them look bad. And once MLB adopts this, we'll all be like, Why didn't we do this years ago?...

Instead of getting mad at the umpires over bad calls, now you can be mad at the players when they neglect to challenge them. The Angels loss turned because Logan O'Hoppe wasn't sure enough to pull the trigger. ocregister.com/2026/03/29/dec…

@JeffFletcherOCR Again, why should a player have to challenge ANY call?... we have the technology for EVERY call to be made accurately instantly on the jumbotron ⚾️😡😡😡😡😡

O'Hoppe said he wasn't sure it was a strike. With only one challenge left and the top of the Angels order due, he didn't want to lose the last challenge. "It was one of those I wasn't 100% sure on, so I didn't take a chance." Would have been different if they had 2.

This was the 2-2 pitch, called a ball, just before Isaac Paredes got a go-ahead 2-run double. Could have been strike three to end the inning The Angels are now down 9-6.

@Halofan245 @quackattac77182 @Angels Sure... but why the extra and unnecessary drama by having a player challenge a call?... just call EVERY pitch accurately on the jumbotron. We have the technology. Why not use it? Why tolerate ANY bad call?... for any reason?

@AngelsWin This is why ALL balls and strikes should be called on the jumbotron. Forget this ABS crap. We have the technology for EVERY call to be correct. This bad call just cost the Angels the lead and probably the game. 😡😡😡 Pitch would've ended the inning... instead 2run double 😡😡😡

The Angels lose 9-7 and split the series after winning the first two. Defensive miscues, poor decision making & issuing too many walks from the mound cost the Angels the last two games. That’s the bad news. The good news is they fought late in both losses & the offense is 🔥

Final: #Astros 9, #Angels 7: Six-run rally to take lead after down 4-0 early. Key two-run double given up to Isaac Paredes in eighth after not challenging what would've been a third strike. Zach Neto 1-for-2 with a homer, 3 BBs. Series split.

@JeffFletcherOCR Make EVERY call accurately on the jumbotron. Ridiculous that teams and fans tolerate ANY bad call when we have the technology for EVERY call to be precise and accurate. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Astros 9, Angels 7 Kochanowicz: 4 IP, 7 R Neto: HR (2) Trout: 1-4, BB Soler: 2B, 3 RBI The Angels (2-2) were burned by a missed opportunity to challenge what would have been an inning-ending strikeout.

@JeffFletcherOCR Why have the umps make ANY calls when it can be 100% accurate instantly on the jumbotron. I was at a AAA game in Nashville 2y ago and all balls & strikes were called on the jumbotron as baseball was testing that out... it was so smooth and efficient... nothing to squabble about.

@jjcate Because fans and players both preferred this system when MLB tested both.

This was the third strike of the bottom of the 7th, a call the Angels got to go their way. The Astros did not have any challenges left. Catcher Yainer Diaz used one up on a pitch that was well out of the zone back in the first inning. Angels up 5-2, top 8.

@JeffFletcherOCR Yes, we still need umps behind the plate for other calls (interference, check swings, foul balls, etc). But THE standard for balls & strikes is now the computer zone... umps play second fiddle to that... until challenges are exhausted.

@JeffFletcherOCR This is where tradition hinders progress. With ABS, we still have bad calls... like today when the Astros ran out of challenges (fortunately 😄). Why do we tolerate ANY bad calls when we have the technology to get them ALL correct?... it's just being stuck in tradition.
