@jjfitzgeraldMD The men's hockey team is good friends with the women's hockey team. I also do not think that the men must speak up for the women. Did you bother to watch their games? They can full well take care of themselves.
English

Coward, frat behavior. I hope the players who didn’t want any part of this and are proud of the women’s team speak up.

all of them laughing about inviting the women’s team. every single one of them

@JRLockwood4 @marissa_g24 We’ve all played team sports and been in a locker room. Women would never do this. You’re defending a horrible culture
English

@marissa_g24 @jjfitzgeraldMD You don't understand locker rooms in team sports. I'm sorry. not everyone laughed. You can hear people groaning. One person said 2 for 2. Zero sum chance anyone is going to ruin one of the greatest moments of their lives by taking a stand against an awkward joke in that moment.
English

@JRLockwood4 Yes, it does. As situations change people are expected to react accordingly
English

@jjfitzgeraldMD The amount of reverence Jack and his brother have spoken about the importance of women's hockey, how happy they were for them. Jack literally said the first person he thought of was Megan Keller. They've spoken up already. An awkward moment with a president doesn't change that.

💬 Viewpoint: Despite women facing higher rates of chronic illness and unique gynecological disorders, federal health leaders have insufficiently prioritized women's health in chronic disease research.

That's what happened to me. I started having symptoms when I was 16 and wasn't diagnosed until yesterday at age 26

Imagine that you started having severe, stabbing pains in your abdomen and pelvis TODAY, June 2024. In June of 2034, doctors finally diagnose you with endometriosis. That’s the tale of the average endometriosis patient.

Magee-Womens investigator Dr. Jocelyn Fitzgerald coined the term "gyneconomics" to describe the financials behind women's health....and has real impacts:
📉 In a recent study published in the Journal of Women's Health, Dr. @jjfitzgeraldMD and team found that procedures on male anatomy reimburse 30–80% more than on female anatomy.
💸 Financial disparities lead to poor health, lifestyle, and economic outcomes for women.
💬 Reshare to spread awareness.

What do girls want? ✨Hint: It's not what you think...✨
🔬 With roughly only 9% of NIH research funding dedicated to conditions that disproportionately affect women, we need to support research to close knowledge gaps, find better treatments, and save lives.
🔁 Reshare to rally for women's health.

Today marks seven years since a Pittsburgh major pro sports franchise last advanced in a postseason. 2,557 days. Unthinkable.
