While not a big fan of the recent "pseudoscience" name-calling, I have to confess that, like my 124 colleagues, I am quite disappointed by IIT's inability to make anything but banal predictions concerning the recent ARC-Cogitate adversarial collaboration. (1/n)
This thread is very enlightening. Thanks. In terms of public dangers, any effect of IIT on abortion policy pales in comparison to the impact of scientists labeling the work of other scientists “pseudoscience”. That’s red meat to the anti-science crowd, and will be used to undermine the validity of scientific conclusions in the eyes of the public.
