@mo_oakville @Mt2Aguy The word deserve is tricky. Do we all get what we derserve? What we think we deserve, what others think we deserve? You get what you work hard for. What you earn. A minimum wage job is a starting point. Not your life’s work. Minimum skill, minimum effort get you minimum results.

@Mt2Aguy There used to be a hierarchy of jobs you could work your way up to. That's not there anymore. And yes everyone deserves a living wage as working adults.

I've been noodling over this sudden irrational anger being directed at boomers and gen-Xers by younger generations over the costs of living. One of the things that has struck me is their belief that minimum wage jobs should provide you with anything and everything your heart desires up to and including purchasing a home. Nobody and I do mean NOBODY I knew growing up looked at minimum wage work as anything other than an after-school job or a steppingstone to an ultimately higher earning job. Left-wing politicians and idealogues have pushed this narrative that everybody "deserves a living wage" right out of high school when historically that has never been the case. It's taken root with younger generations unfortunately and I personally think that's where much of this misplaced angst against the older generations is coming from.

@tomasdorph @ChristieSnelgr1 @Cryptoboyy_Aji When I go through my feed many of the posts I see are Gen Z complaining that boomers ruined everything for them. I honestly feel that boomers feel the need to defend themselves. It’s almost like people want the boomers to just “go away” so they can have their money and assets.

@tomasdorph @ChristieSnelgr1 @Cryptoboyy_Aji I didn’t say it did. In my earlier comment I stated that things are too expensive. Two things can be true at the same time. That doesn’t mean that people can’t achieve their goals though. Whining about boomers doesn’t solve anything.

@tomasdorph @Cryptoboyy_Aji I’m not disagreeing about part of what people are saying. Yes, prices are way too high. But you have to understand the mindset of the Boomers. They were taught to live simply. We could learn from that mindset.

@tomasdorph @Cryptoboyy_Aji People seem to forget that Boomers were raised by parents that survived the Great Depression. They were taught to live below their means, to save, work hard, and don’t waste a thing. They had vegetable gardens and canned food. We should take a lesson from them, not blame them.

Absolute bombshell. Hunter Biden completely exposes massive Trump family corruption. He reveals Don Jr received a staggering 600 million dollar DOD loan and Jared Kushner secured a 4 billion dollar Middle East fund. The Trump administration is entirely bought by oligarchs.

Congressman Schiff your weakness is showing. A real leader would take the high road on this Memorial Day weekend. Millions of Americans are honoring our men and women lost on the battlefield. And we are remembering our heroes who even tonight are risking their lives for our freedoms. LT. Colonel @TulsiGabbard currently is in the US Army Reserve. She is a combat veteran. She did 3 military tours in the Middle East and Africa. No doubt she’s leaning on her tremendous fighting spirit right now as her husband faces the health battle of a lifetime. *And you Congressman Schiff… always have the choice to consider the timing of your bitter politics and do better.
Adam Schiff@SenAdamSchiff

My thoughts go out to Tulsi Gabbard and her family, as her husband battles this serious health problem. I hope and pray that he makes a speedy and full recovery. While the circumstances around her departure are deserving of our sympathy, let’s be clear: Tulsi Gabbard’s only positive contribution to our nation's national security is her resignation. She politicized intelligence. She dismantled critical agencies keeping Americans safe. She weaponized the IC to pursue baseless election fraud claims. And more. We must ensure that her tenure — marked by a devotion to the person of the president and not to the security of the country — represents a terrible exception at DNI and not the new normal.

@ScottStockers @JezziiB No, seriously, fallopian tube ones're called ectopic pregnancies, they're not meant to grow there so it WILL kill the person and welp, baby can't grow is their host is dead, too. they're literally always fatal to the person unless terminated.

Just so we're clear: the pregnancy that ends up in the wrong spot, like the fallopian tube? The one that will NEVER turn into a baby and will rupture and kill your wife, daughter, or sister? Terminating that fetus is also an abortion, and they want to ban those, too.

@JezziiB And in every State with abortion restrictions there are exceptions for saving the life of the mother. An ectopic is one of those cases.

@KayKasper263927 @munumagic @ma1ybe It’s also simple of birth control is there and people get to enjoy their lives the way they wish to. Yes once it’s out of the body it’s a baby. At around 22 weeks it’s a baby because now it has the mental functions to at some point be a memeber of society. Before, fetus.

Boomers didn’t buy RVs that they couldn’t afford, we tented it. Boomers didn’t buy new cars, we bought used ones. Boomers didn’t spend six bucks for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Boomers could hang all their clothes in a four foot closet. Boomers didn’t cry how tough their lives were, we fought through the tough times. Boomers have everything they have because they managed their money, didn’t squander it on frivolous things, and invested it in proven technologies and long term successful businesses. Boomers have zero fucks to give for whiners, fools, and couch potatoes.

Kevin O’Leary’s comments about young people making sandwiches instead of ordering out are going viral, and honestly, a lot of what I’m seeing on social media about it annoys the hell out of me First off, it is hard to be a young adult right now. Inflation is brutal. Housing is expensive and in short supply. Groceries, gas, insurance, and energy costs are hitting everyone hard. Starting out today is not easy, and pretending otherwise is disconnected from reality. But what I completely reject is this growing narrative that boomers somehow “stole” prosperity from younger generations or should now give up what they worked for. My parents are boomers. They started their marriage with almost nothing. They lived in a depressing basement apartment in downtown Lexington before moving into a tiny rental house. My dad worked his way up at Pepsi-Cola over a 30-year career, starting in the warehouse and eventually becoming controller of the company. My parents didn’t buy their first home until I was in fifth grade, and even then it was a very modest ranch house. We ate at home almost every night. Going out to eat was rare. There were no Amazon packages showing up daily, no DoorDash, no expensive vacations, no constant lifestyle spending. A lot of people today act like previous generations all bought mansions at 23 while working part-time jobs, and that simply isn’t reality for most families. That doesn’t mean young people should just “stop complaining.” There are real economic problems we need to address. I help my own kids financially because I know how difficult things are. But I also expect them to spend responsibly, avoid wasting money, and work toward independence. No one is owed an easy life. Most people struggle at some point. I’ve worked three jobs at once as a single mom just to survive. It wasn’t fun, and I don’t wish that on my kids, but struggle is sometimes part of building a better future. Blaming “boomers” for everything won’t fix housing shortages or lower grocery prices. Spending all day online complaining won’t either. If people want change, get involved. Push for housing reform. Support policies that increase supply, competition, energy affordability, and economic opportunity. Build something. Contribute to your community. Fight for solutions instead of resentment. Quit whining. No one “owes” you anything.

The goofiness and corniness is impossible to miss. These same Democrat activists scream nonstop about “Black representation” and “Black political power”... until a white liberal wins in a majority Black city or district THEY approve of. Then suddenly race no longer matters. They celebrate. They clap. They endorse. They campaign. They tell Black voters this is “progress.” But let a Black conservative, Black independent, or Black Christian step outside progressive orthodoxy... NOW race matters again. NOW they scream “sellout.” NOW they scream “coon.” NOW they scream “Uncle Tom.” NOW they say you are “hurting Black people.” That contradiction exposes the entire hustle. It was never about Blackness. It was never about representation. It was never about empowerment. It was about ideological obedience. A white progressive Democrat is acceptable. A Black conservative is *dangerous*. That is the goofy part. That is the corny part. They reduce Black Americans to political *property* while pretending to fight for liberation. And more people are finally waking up to it. #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove
