8 months ago we took a chance on opening a bakery in a site we already had with my best mate Nathan who happens to be an incredible baker & pastry chef so it all seemed to fit…

Really REALLY happy with our onion ring.
It’s easy to make turbot and langoustine taste delicious. It’s a bit more difficult to take an onion snack and make it heavenly- especially one inspired by fast food. 🫶🏻
@SOLAsoho I had this today. I am not a huge fan of dessert, but this was superb. I could eat this time & time again. The taste & mouth feel of the meringue is wonderful, taken to a higher level by the crisp sable base 👏🏻
Comfort.
After a long meal, I want something comforting. Accordingly, the first dessert is a fairly classic take on a key lime pie, using sudachi, an almond sablé base & Swiss meringue (vastly superior to any other meringue imho). Finished with a red berry & verbena sorbet.
Thanks @PollenStSocial for making our various celebrations on Saturday special; great food, wine & service, made even better by offer of a private room - tho that may just have been to protect other diners 😬

Just doing a little R&D on a twist on Île Flottante at the moment and I’ve just had enough steamed meringue to kill a small horse. If anyone needs me between lunch and dinner service I’ll be having a lie down in the PDR.
Another ridiculously good value lunch @SOLAsoho. Fine ingredients, cooked well and bouncing with flavour. New venison dish worth the price alone. Hat tip to server for brilliant cheese selection. Well paired wines too.

Excellent dinner #HumbleChicken every mouthful well thought out and prepared and matched with well chosen sakes/wines. Enthusiastic staff add to the experience and place at the counter allowed long chats with @SatoAngelo1 - for which I can only apologise chef.😬⭐️
