Pool fans forget they were poor in some seasons under Klopp. This season is equally justifiable — big injury(ies), no impact from big signings, etc. Klopp also never coached a Liverpool team where Salah wasn't producing. Don't see why they'd sack Slot after a season like this.

Why was everybody on the same page that Rodgers needed to be sacked but this time they’re all calling out the players? What has this lifeless Dutch twat got that’s pulled at the heart strings of these people.

Maybe there is another man who can get more from this specific group, it’s clear Arne can’t or doesn’t ideally want to work with some of them. But is the upside of Arne’s team with the players he actually wants to fit that system worth keeping him? Imo yes. Maybe there’s a short term improvement to be had in sacking him, but long term i’m a strong believer to the contrary.

@jm__lfc @ChiiMoLFC That’s the thing, and that’s what irks me when people say “it’s the players” or “we need new players” yes maybe we do, but even just a change of coaching staff can bring another level to the players and then all of a sudden you don’t need as much business as you think

I was actually neutral in regards to whether sacking Amorim was the right thing. I can see the negatives, the big one being playing Bruno so out of position that deep and seemingly forcing him out. The Kobbie situation. And most obviously the results. But in saying that, we don’t know what that team would’ve looked like in the long term with a double pivot better than Bruno and Casemiro, if they had gotten Baleba over the line. Feel like it would’ve changed a lot. Cunha and Mbeumo were perfect for the system too. Seemed like they were moving in the right direction in terms of recruitment for maybe the first time since Fergie. But as we know short term, Carrick has gotten more out of them, maybe it’s worth it since he’s got them UCL football, maybe the upside of Amorim was bigger. Truth is we’ll never know, can only guess.

What’s happening this season has been coming for a long time. Ironically it’s been gradually falling apart since Edwards left. Now the club is fixing all the mistakes and poor decisions in regards to squad management in those final post-Edwards Klopp years 🧵 #LFC

I have my perspective from which I have reasons why he’s the man for the future more than just blind faith. and to the second point, i’m glad, don’t want to end up like post-Fergie United, sacking managers before they ever can build something. Sometimes it does require one step back to take multiple forward

It’s interesting that actually, whether you start him to get him up to speed or you rest him. Could see either perspective But, and this is off of pure vibes, the fact that the club posted a graphic with Isak it feels like he’s going to start. That also could just be optimism 😅
