@pnwnyr41 @DaveyUpper Defense and offense aren’t mutually exclusive. Turtling conservative defensive play contributes to the empty offense. Once they try to open it up to generate offense it all falls apart. Thats bc the players are bad

@JoeFortunatoBSB The Rangers need goals, offense, most of all. But they also need what Sherwood brings. Right now, Jonathan Quick and Sam Carrick — the backup goalie and fourth-line center — are the only two guys you can count on to step up and defend their own teammates/themselves.

Sherwood is a 30-year-old with a career high 40-points last year. The Rangers have guys who can do that right now on the team.
This is not a person you spend assets for. Unless you're trading Parssinen or something you don't care about.

As crazy as this sounds, the #NYR trade deadline price for Lindgren should start with a 1st RD pick.
Trade comparable's for players in a similar realm:
Chiarot (31 yrs old / $3.5M) - 1st + 4th
Gavrikov (28 yrs old / $2.8M) 1st + 3rd
Savard - (30 yrs old / $4.25M) - 1st + 3rd

@RantingRangers Last 3 cup winners avg 29YO/>3500GP on the line. Miller would be one of the youngest least experienced players to lift the last 3 cups but we are asking him to be a top stabilizer. 24yrolds make big mistakes…that’s y good GMs give 1 of them 17 min not 6 of them 60. It’s the GM
